Xavier University (Cincinnati, Ohio). Academic Planning Task Force

 Organization

Administrative history

In the summer of 2003, President Michael Graham created the Academic Planning Task Force to build on the work of the Academic Program Review of 2002-03 which had just been completed. The Task Force submitted its final report to the president in November, 2003 (see Fortin, To See Great Wonders, pp. 381-382).

"The president charged the task force to review all academic program reviews, documents and reports and identify those programs and activities that related strongly to the mission and academic vision, to underscore marks of academic excellence at the university, and to name those programs that probably did not relate as well to Xavier's mission and academic vision and perhaps could be scaled down or discontinued." (Fortin, pp. 381-382)

This Task Force was formed shortly after two other groups had made their final report, and was created to further the work of these two groups. They were the Planning Steering Committee (2002-03), chaired by Dr. Ronald Slepitza, and the Academic Planning Review of 2002-03. The reports of these two groups are available elsewhere in the archives.
