Biographical / Historical
Albers Hall is located on the west side of the Academic Mall between Hinkle Hall and Logan Hall. It was named in honor of William H. Albers, the principal donor. Built at a cost of $244,000.00, the hall was dedicated on November 10, 1929. Originally the Biology department was found on the third floor, with the Physics and Mathematics departments on the second. Classrooms and the President's office were found on the first floor. Later the Biology department took over the entire building.
