Biographical / Historical

Boylan Hall was originally a family residence on Ledgewood Avenue next to Bellarmine Chapel. Purchased by the university, it was named in honor of the Rev. Murtha Boylan, S.J., professor of psychology for many years. In the 1960s it housed the office of the Assistant to the President as well as faculty offices. In the early 1970s it served as the Undergraduate Recruitment and Admission Office. It was razed in the late 1970s to make room for Hailstones Hall.
