Biographical / Historical

This building is named in honor of Bishop Edward Dominic Fenwick, O.P., the first bishop of Cincinnati and founder of the Athenaeum, as Xavier University was originally called. The dining room within this building is named in honor of Father James E. Hoff, the president of Xavier from 1991 to 2000. The ground blessing took place on May 7, 2010. The building opened in August, 2011. The building is home to student residences and the offices of the Bursar, Registrar, Mission and Identity, among others.
