Biographical / Historical
The George J. Joseph Building, housing the Center for Human Development, is located on Dana Avenue near Winding Way. It stands on the site of the old Avondale Athletic Club which became the Xavier Union Building when Xavier purchased the property in the early 1900s. The Joseph Building was built at a cost of $ 450,000.00. It was dedicated on December 1, 1968.
