Scope and Content

From the Collection:

This collection consists of correspondence, documents, brochures, minutes of meetings, photos, diagrams and other materials pertaining to the buildings, halls, houses, centers and other properties on the Xavier campus.

The collection includes information on buildings currently in existence, some buildings that have been razed and a few proposed buildings that were never constructed. It also includes documentation concerning the closing of some streets by the City of Cincinnati in and around the campus. It does not include any of the buildings that St. Xavier College occupied in downtown Cincinnati prior to 1919. For information on the Sycamore Street buildings, consult a separate collection dealing with the Nineteenth Century St. Xavier College and Church.

In addition, this collection does not include information on any shrines, statues, monuments, fountains or permanent plaques. These materials are found in a separate collection found in the Xavier Archives.
