Biographical / Historical
Schmidt Memorial Fieldhouse was erected to the memory of Frederick A. Schmidt and Apolline Tetedoux Schmidt by their son, Walter S. Schmidt, Class of 1905. It was dedicated on March 7, 1928 The original cost of the structure was $ 325,000.00. In 1928, it was the largest college fieldhouse in Ohio.
