Biographical / Historical
The Villa was also called the Theda Bara House and also the Honors House. Xavier acquired the Villa in 1979 from Dr. Joseph Link, professor emeritus of economics, as part of a six-buildings deal which included three apartments (the Linkshire, the University and the Manor House), the Tudor Lodge, the Fraternity House, and the Villa. The Villa was razed in the 2000s. For a history of the Villa and its historical significance, consult the Xavier Magazine, Fall 2001 issue, in which the article entitled "This Old House" appears.
