Biographical / Historical
The Carrilon Chimes were proposed by the Xavier Alumni Association in 1948 and were first played at Xavier University at the homecoming game in November, 1948. The total cost of the chimes was $5,500.00. The use of the chimes was discontinued during the 1960s.
