Scrapbook of Margaret (Peg) Potter containing photographs, programs, report cards, messages from fellow classmates, and ephemera from her time at Madisonville High School, Cincinnati, Ohio (1917-1919) and East High School, Cincinnati, Ohio (1919-1921). Handwritten notations from Potter appear throughout the scrapbook, including one that mentions the closure of schools for several months during the 1918-1919 academic year due to the flu. Photographs include individual student portraits and group activities.

Biographical / Historical

Margaret(Peg)Potter was born to Mary and George Potter. She attended Madisonville High School from 1918-1919. Upon the construction and opening of East High School (now Withrow University High School), all the Madisonville high school students were transferred there. Potter attended East High School from 1919 to 1921 when she graduated. She was a member of the glee club, dramatic club, Latin club, basketball team, household arts club, special chorus, and centerball team. After high school, she worked as a teacher.
