History of Xavier University Academic Computing Task Force

Early in the summer, 1990, Dr. Joan Connell, Academic Vice President of Xavier, established a task force to develop a long range plan for academic computing at Xavier. This task force, with the support of consultants from International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), was asked to develop a five-year plan for computing as it affects the curriculum, the classroom and research at Xavier University. In September, 1990, the initial planning meeting was held. The Task Force issued its final report in 1991.
