This collection contains The New Student Record, which was published annually by the Xavier University Student Government Association at the time of first-year student orientation. It supplied new students with information about campus, services, and other student-related information.

Collection consists of the Student Handbook (1963-2011) and its predecessor the X-Book (1946-1954, 1962). The Student Handbook is an annual publication for students containing information on campus buildings, academic life, disciplinary procedures, student services, student life and activities, university history, calendars of events, and a directory of offices at Xavier University (Cincinnati, Ohio).
