A collection of primarily photographic scrapbooks which depict various Xavier University student activities sponsored by the Dorothy Day Center for Faith and Justice and Campus Ministry.

This is a collection of selected records from Edgecliff College (Cincinnati, Ohio). These records reflect some college activities and the campus environment prior to the acquisition of the Edgecliff property by Xavier University.

Papers include a scrapbook and a photograph album containing photographs, ephemera, and news clippings documenting James Sweeney's undergraduate life at Xavier University (Cincinnati, Ohio) from 1930-1934.

Topics include athletics, theater, student life, and commencement ceremonies. A few clippings document his professional life as the assistant city solicitor of Covington, Kentucky.
